Last Sunday I had the
opportunity to network with some fellow baddies here in Houston. Although I
showed up late (In true Mariyah Fashion) I was able to jump in and really learn
so much about the fellow ladies attending the brunch.
While there, one thing that really
caught me by surprise was the amount of ambitious women there were in one room.
Almost everyone had a side business that they worked while also working full
time. Some ladies were even in business for themselves full time. With all that
knowledge in one room, I’m not sure how anyone could have left without being
inspired.
What really drew me to this event
was that one of my favorite Bloggers was the guest speaker. Her name is Courtney and she's runs the blog www.thebwerd.com. I actually got a picture with her! She was so cool and down to earth. With having a full time job and part time job I really struggle with being able to be consistent with my blog, however she makes it looks effortless and I really wanted to get insight on how she does it all.

Not to my surprise, she put together
a whole breakdown on exactly how to balance both of your worlds while making
sure everything gets done. She even gave us her template, which was a complete
lifesaver. I am already using it and seeing results (hints, this post being
created lol)
The brunch was held at the Tasting
Room, and the food was filling. The Baddie Brunch staff were so welcoming and
may I add so handsome, I should have networked with them a bit *side eye*. But
seriously this was a wonderful event, from the host to the other baddies that
attended. It is important to remember to surround yourself with people who are
likeminded but also people who are doing better than you. It doesn't have to be
a competition amongst us women all the time. I promise, "we are better
together." Remember that the next time you are in a room full of stunning
ladies with their "ish" together. Soak up all that you can and bring
it home to elaborate on. This is how you make yourself better.
