"Couple Bad Chicks and They All look Brazilian"

So if you have not heard about the hair removal Mecca, better known as "The European Wax Center" I can sum up its description by simply calling it "Hell, then Heaven on Earth". Now being The Socialite Heiress, I’m going to give you the real scoop about my experience, but please do not only take my word for it, try it out for yourself. The process really does have its perks.

The very first attempt I made to try the European Wax Center, I went in for a Brazilian Wax. They can wax just about any part of your body, but the Brazilian wax is one of their more popular services. Being it was my first time I decided the process would be easier with shorter hair and trimmed my hair prior to my arrival. DO NOT DO THIS! The hair was too short for the wax to grip and I was told to come back when it grew a little more.

I took that advice a little too far and came back with a full bush of hair. I asked my wax specialist if it was too much and she said no it was normal. Making the appt. and getting connected with a specialist was super easy. Your specialist will come to the lobby and escort you to one of the many red doors. I am not just making a “Hell” correlation, the doors really are red. I entered the room, and placed my bag in the designated corner. I then removed my garments and laid on the waxing table.

The Wax they use is a metallic purple hard wax that they are known for. The wax glides over your hair smoothly and is warm like any other wax, but it is much thicker. When it cools you quickly realize the pain you are about to encounter. All I could think to myself was "what the hell did you get yourself into". The wax is pulled off by hand, in a jagged motion. You are prepped with powder so that the wax only attaches to the hair when being removed. I jumped at just about every snatch of the wax. The area that hurt the worst was the top bikini area. Between the laughs, the screams, and perspiration from all the adrenaline, I could tell my specialist was getting annoyed because I ended up having to dangle my legs off each side of the table. This was to prevent me from closing my legs. **Side note, you do not want to be in this position.

They tell you 100x between arriving and leaving that the 1st time is the worst, but after that it will be a breeze. I can attest that the 1st time was horrible but well worth it. After what felt like 100 rips (really about 10-15 rips) we were done! The majority of hair was removed but I still had single strands here and there. I was told, being it was the first time that, “that was normal, and the following time it would catch more of the hair.” The amount of hair left over was hardly noticeable.

I was scheduled 3 weeks out to return again. When I returned, I was excited because 1. There was hardly any hair to wax. 2. I was told 100 times it would be super easy. I have hair that grows rather quickly and thick so I was shocked that the wax prevented so much hair from growing back. Unfortunately, I made another mistake. I scheduled a wax a couple days prior to my “time of the month”. This made my bikini area very sensitive. This time hurt almost as much as the first time. It got to the point that she asked if I wanted to finish. I let her finish, and used the breathing techniques she taught me to make it through.

The rips stung like no other especially on the pelvic area. My specialist was not good at applying pressure after ripping off the wax so that made it a little worse. The only bearable area was the waxing of the buttocks (this is a free area that comes with the Brazilian wax).

Once completed the specialist will suggest products they feel will help with the new hair growth process. I purchased the Body Polish which I was told would help with ingrown hairs. I actually did not use it and when I returned the 3rd time I had a few ingrown hairs that had to be plucked with a tweezers.

The finished look was flawless both times, however, to be honest you can achieve this look with shaving. What makes it worth it is, how quick it takes, how slowly the hair grows back, and how smooth it actually gets. It is painful, but the pain fades and the amount of time you enjoy the manicured look is far longer compared to how long the pain of waxing actually lasts.

Your first Brazilian wax is heavily discounted at The European Wax Center so you should at least try it out. If you have ever tried the European Wax Center leave your experiences below, I would love to Laugh... I mean hear about it.
