Nicki Minaj's Lipstick Reveiw [[Nicki's Nude Edition]]

Finally... my review of Nicki Minaj's Mac Lipstick " Nicki's Nude". I bought this lipstick a month ago and I just found a way for me to wear it in a way that I actually like.

So, the picture makes you think that this is a "Black Girl Nude". Look at how brown it is in the picture! I was hella excited because I am all about a brown lip. However when I tried it, I was shocked to find that it was more of a regular nude. I asked the Mac Employee to show me all the new shades just to make sure I was not crazy.
When I did a swatch on my hand Nicki's Nude was the darker of the two nudes. Honestly they looked almost the same color. I really wanted to support Nicki so I bought it and decided I would just pair it with a darker lip liner.

I have never been a huge fan of Mac Lipsticks. They are extremely creamy, but they do have amazing pigmentation. Because of this Grade-A Pigmentation, my rather large lips, always looked crazy when I would try and wear it. It would literally be MARIYAHS LIPS!!! then mariyah's face, if you can catch the comparison. Nicki's Nude is not the exception, it is definitely an Amplified Cream Lipstick, however I'm a little more skilled now and know how to make their lipsticks work for my fuller lips.

The packaging is really cute, it has a rose gold color and of course the signature shape of a mac lipstick. It also has Nicki Minaj's Signature on the outside of it.

I first paired the lipstick with a burgundy liner. I found that color to be a little dark and overpowering of the nude. It may start off as 2 separate colors but throughout the day it became one purple-ish color.

I then decided to pair it with a Brown Liner, and honey, JACKPOT! This combo is perfect for an effortless beat. I am so in love with the 2 colors together, I've been wearing it daily. I use my brown Liner to outline and cover the majority of my lips and use the lipstick to fill in the middle.

When you are removing your make-up at the end of the day, this lipstick comes off easily. I would suggest a nice lip scrub and balm the night before applying so that the lipstick goes on smooth. Being the lipstick is so creamy, applying it over chapped lips makes it look rough and scabby. On the contrary putting it on over lubricated lips messes up the consistency and leaves little pellets on your lips. You want a lightly moistened, dry lip when applying this lipstick (I had to learn by trial and error).

Overall, I am happy with the lipstick and can not wait to continue to rock it this fall! Click HERE to purchase Nicki's Nude! If you want the lip liner (NYX Lip Lineer Espresso) I pared it with Click HERE  Let me know what you guys thought of Nicki's New Lipsticks!

Yours Truly,
